The Canadian Coast Guard Ship Hudson is taking a cruise from Halifax, Nova Scotia to areas beyond the Grand Banks.
It it scheduled to stop at the important Marine Protected Area 'The Gully', Flemish Cap, Orphan's Knoll and Tobin's Point for a total of 2100 nautical miles.
During the trip, they are broadcasting video to the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, a cultural centre in St. John's Newfoundland, and the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa Ontario. The video is interactive, so the public and students can ask questions to the scientists on board.
