I don't know what to do. I want to go to college so bad, but my family really has no money what so ever. Dad JUST got a job, and we don't even have a house due to bankruptcy. We live in a church.... Anyways! Do any of you know how I can pay for college? Please, my future depends on this. :(

I was in a similar situation when I started college. My father was out of work, close to losing the house and could not give me any money at all for college. It wasn't easy, but I was able to attend college and get a BS in marine biology.
All colleges have financial aid for people who need help paying for college. Considering your family's money problems, you should definitely qualify for a generous offer. When deciding what college to go to make sure you research the requirements and opportunities for financial aid.

Yes, most colleges aim to make college affordable - if you fill out the FAFSA, which is a government application for financial aid, you will likely get a generous offer from schools, and if your grades are good, then you might get merit scholarships as well. Go ahead and apply, and see what comes up - you'll never know unless you try. Good luck!

THANKS!!! I talked to my councelor about the FAFSA and it seems really helpful! I also am going to join the A+ program which allows me to get 2 years free community college so I was thinking about doing my basics there and then moving on to a university for Marine Biology. Does this sound like a good idea? Hopefully FAFSA will help me out. :(
