Interview questions for a marine biologist

Postby katemarie18 » 11/28/12

1. What are your roles and responsibilities in your job?
2. What kind of education or training is needed for your career? Is research training needed? Why or why not?
3. What is a typical starting salary in your career?
4. How much time do you have for personal, non-career interests?
5. What advice do you have for young people interested in pursuing your career?

I'm an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa studying Biology. I have to conduct an interview for my "Ways of Knowing Science" class. Thanks!

If you think Education is expensive, try Ignorance.
"The inhabitants of the sea have much to teach us." ~Wyland
"I have slipped the bonds of Earth to dance with dolphins." :dolphin: ~Wyland
"If human civilization is going to invade the waters of the earth, then let it be first of all to carry a message of respect." ~ Jacques Cousteau
NOSB: A great way for high schoolers to learn about the oceans.
A whale killed a dolphin but he was acquitted because he didn't do it on porpoise.
